About Earthen Wire

At Earthen Wire, I design unique, handmade jewelry for women who want to stand out and wear something a little different from everyone else. The pieces are crafted with quality gemstones, freshwater pearls, shells, crystal and wood. Most of the jewelry is created from Sterling or Argentium Silver, and Red or 14 kt Yellow gold-fill. Some special collections are constructed with Copper or Brass. All ear wires and posts will always be constructed from silver, gold-fill or 14 kt gold by special order only. I realize a jewelry purchase is a luxury, therefore I want to do my best to provide something that you absolutely love and can be proud to wear for years to come.

My husband and I attend arts and craft shows in Illinois and Kansas. Recently, we opened an Etsy.com store for the convenience of our clients. A constantly changing selection of jewelry is also available from time to time at The Bead Place in Fairview Heights, Illinois. If you have an idea for a special piece, I do take custom orders. A page regarding custom orders will be added at a later time.

We do our small part for the environment by recycling our metal bench scraps, packaging and paper products. If you look closely, you will also find fair-trade, recycled and repurposed sterling, glass and beads in some of the pieces.

About the Artist

My name is Stacia. For as long as I can remember, I had to have a project to keep me busy. I can't just sit still. I started making jewelry on a beading loom given to me by my parents when I was in 4th or 5th grade. I'm sure they found beads in the furniture and carpeting long after I moved out of the house. Now I'm doing my best to plant beads all over my new workspace. I make all the jewelry in a workspace in my own home. In other words, the commute is great and so is the dress code! I am assisted by my own quality control department. Quality control is overseen by my two cats, Sasha and Emilie. No piece gets packaged without a thorough going over by one of them. They're also quick to point out those rogue beads I mentioned earlier. They're also the only cats I know with chainmaille collars. My husband Brian, is my resident computer guru. He keeps my website up and running, takes those great photos in the gallery and, luckily, keeps an eye on the clock to remind me it's time for sleep and meals. I tend to lose track of time when I work. I hope you enjoy the jewelry gallery and find a special item that you want to call your own. I love to see my jewelry go to good homes.
